This is one I never thought of and am going to start doing. Starting today in fact! I had to slap my forehead with my open palm and say to myself…..DOPE! Why on earth didn’t I think of this sooner?
I powder eggshells now to feed back to my chickens but feed it to me! I never thought of it!
Yet another vitamin and mineral supplement from nature that anyone can make. Though I recommend free range chicken eggs. We have our own chickens so that part is easy but for someone in the city I would recommend finding the best eggs you can and using those. Saving the shells of course.
One whole medium sized eggshell yields about 750 – 800 mgs of elemental calcium plus other microelements, including but not limited to magnesium, boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, sulphur, silicon, zinc, (27 elements in total). The composition of an eggshell is very similar to that of our bones and teeth.
I am always reading and researching how to do stuff like this. I seek my own information instead of what is handed to us. This though was brilliant I thought! Can’t wait to try it.
Here is another article that is similar and may be easier yet for some. I intend to try both ways
